The Basic Community Risk Reduction (CRR) workshop is a free 8-hour training that provides the foundation 

to prevent and/or lessen the severity of unintentional injuries in your community by identifying leading risks and developing strategies to pull community partners and resources together to mitigate these risks. 

This training was designed for community partners, educators, medical personnel, and public safety organizations and CEU hours for fire, EMS, and POST are available.

Topics covered: Using a community needs assessment tool, planning educations and events for various age groups, evaluating programs for effectiveness, integrating prevention messaging with STEM education, and unified statewide messaging. Attendees will receive a copy of the Georgia Unified Community Risk Reduction Guide which includes a guide on integrating into the Georgia Board of Education Curriculum and a week-by-week topic guide for unintentional injury messaging.
